“Yeah, I posted about this in the beta forums and nobody was happy with the change. The best way I’ve been able to handle it is start the media app before any game and then hold the playstation button to bring up the application/power options menu. Then use R1 to go to the next track and x to pause and play. Although, if you want to look for a particular song you are sol.”

“Just found this out myself and I’m extremely annoyed. I used the USB player for music daily. I can only agree that it must be a move to get you to use Spotify. Changing tracks and starting and stopping songs is stupidly clunky now. I object.”

“More likely, they just didn’t wanna have both Media Player and USB Music Player whenever you plugged a music USB in”

“Oh, yeah. Literally everyone in the beta forums said that it was a dumb change. They never brought it back. R.I.P.”

“I just found out this also killed my music streaming. Before, I could stream from the usb while broadcasting but the music just wouldnt play over the broadcast. Now since I’m forced to use the media player when I go to broadcast the music stops since the media player auto stops when broadcasting. They broke what I considered one of the best basic services of the console.”
