Net zoals Rockstar voor ‘Grand Theft Auto V’, is ook Activision druk op zoek naar personeel.

Infinity Ward is looking for an experienced and highly skilled individual to implement system, engine, and gameplay components of our internal engine. You should be comfortable and competent working as a low level, as well as an application, programmer. You will be responsible for the technical success of critical software components, drawing assistance from other programmers when necessary. You must be able to anticipate and overcome the technical hurdles, and maximize the strengths specific to IW’s development tools, technologies, and techniques. You must take pride in a high standard of work, but be willing to prioritize and deliver in the necessary timeframe.

Requirements from potential applicants include:

  • Performance and memory optimization
  • Modifying and maintaining a proprietary scripting system
  • Assisting with the creating in-game systems like effects, physics, camera, lighting, and AI
  • Assisting with and/or directing the porting of miscellaneous platform-specific code, as necessary
  • Ensuring compliance with technical submission requirements
  • Be able to break down and thoroughly design code features
  • Exchange feedback and suggestions with others
  • Be flexible and responsive to the needs of the team
  • Contribute ideas for features and improvements as the engine evolves
  • Be able to make and stick to a realistic schedule
  • Regularly communicate progress
  • Report problems as soon as they become apparent

You must have experience in shipping a PS3 or X360 game. Must be fluent in C++ and be able to write optimized assembly where necessary. Strong 3D skills and low-level engine experience are essential. Technical Architecture experience a plus. Know when not to use object oriented programming.
