Je hebt games die uitkomen en daarmee is het basta, over en klaar. Maar je hebt ook games die uitkomen die blijven groeien met de komst van downloadable content (DLC) of uitbreidingen. Denk maar eens aan LittleBigPlanet of de onlangs uitgekomen Dragon Age: Origins van Electronic Arts (EA). Deze game wordt al gelijk ondersteund met DLC en daar blijft het niet bij.
EA heeft namelijk vandaag officieel aangekondigd dat hun nieuwe RPG een uitbreiding krijgt genaamd Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening. Deze uitbreiding zal de game ongeveer met zo’n vijftien uur verlengen. Het is ook al bekend wanneer deze uitbreiding komt, namelijk op 16 maart aanstaande al en deze zal voor ongeveer $ 39,99 te verkrijgen zijn.

Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening, BioWare’s next thread in the Dragon Age: Origins tapestry, occurs following the events of Dragon Age: Origins and puts players into the role of a Grey Warden Commander entrusted with rebuilding the order of Grey Wardens. In addition to rebuilding the ranks of the Grey Wardens, you will be tasked with uncovering the mystery of how the darkspawn survive after the slaying of the Archdemon. How players choose to rebuild their order, resolve the conflict with the mysterious “Architect,” and determine the fate of the darkspawn are just some of the many intriguing moral choices that will shape each player’s heroic journey. Players will be able to import their character from Dragon Age: Origins or start out as a new Grey Warden from the neighboring land of Orlais.
Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening will be released March 16, 2010 worldwide on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 console and PC. $40,- vind ik veel geld voor 15 uur meer gameplay, denk ik. Ligt eraan hoeveel tijd Dragon Age: Origins brengt.

Shit, mag binnen kort wel weer een nieuwe hdd er in zetten, heb nu 500 Gig en die staat al bijna vol. met alle DLC en PSN games.
Het gaat om verhoudingen 15 uur voor uncharted erbij is veel maar 15 uur voor een rpg is dat niet zeker niet als je daar 40€ voor moet neerleggen…. Nee dan leg ik er wel 20€ bij en koop ik er wel 1 van de topgames van die er in het eerste kwartaal uitkomen.
oeh hele goede actie ga ik zeker halen! ik baal wel dat vandaag de dlc niet verkrijgbaar is.
@rieks: nou dan ben je wel heel flink aan het downloaden…en dan zou je dus ook wel wat dingen kunnen verwijderen, kan me niet voorstellen dat je dan nog alles speelt
40 dollar hé, als we mazzel hebben wordt het pakket 30 euro hier, maar we als we geen mazzel hebben mogen we gewoon de volle mep betalen.
15 uur aan extra content, een nieuw verhaal en meer Dragon Age, daar leg ik met veel plezier 40 ballen voor neer. Minder is natuurlijk altijd beter maar Bioware moet ook ergens van rondkomen hé?
