Final Fantasy XIII ligt al enkele weken in de winkel en de game doet het dan ook erg goed qua verkoopcijfers. De game verkoopt zelfs zo goed dat FFXIII het snelst verkopende deel is in het Verenigd Koninkrijk van de Final Fantasy franchise.
Niet alleen in het Verenigd Koninkrijk is FFXIII het snelst verkopende deel van de franchise maar ook in Duitsland doet de game het erg goed. Dit heeft uitgever Square Enix vol trots laten weten.

Fastest selling title in the franchise history in the UK
London (19 March 2010) – Square Enix Europe are pleased to announce that FINAL FANTASY® XIII has become the fastest selling title in the FINAL FANTASY franchise history in the UK and also the fastest selling UK game of 2010 so far*.
The news comes on the heels of the announcement last week that the sell-in shipment of the game has exceeded the five million unit milestone worldwide. Cumulative global shipments of the FINAL FANTASY series have now reached 96 million units since the first game was launched over two decades ago.
The latest part in the multi-award winning FINAL FANTASY series was released on 9 March 2010 in the UK for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system as well as the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system by Microsoft.
“It’s great to see FINAL FANTASY XIII hitting the top of the UK charts and setting the pace as the fastest selling game of the year,” said Jon Brooke, UK Marketing Director. “With high profile TV spots playing out beyond Easter and branded buses still travelling the country I’m positive this title is only going to get bigger and bigger.”
The FINAL FANTASY series stands out thanks to its ongoing evolution. Only the best creative ideas, the best graphics standards and the best gameplay systems, which are available at the time when a new part in the series is developed, are included in the game. This tradition has been continued in FINAL FANTASY XIII.
FINAL FANTASY XIII is also the fastest and biggest selling console game in Germany in 2010 (source: Media Control GFK International) and the best selling console game in France in 2010 so far (source: GFK France).
Vind het toch een geweldige game die heel langzaam begint maar daarna wat meer op ff13 begint te lijken… heb te vroeg beoordeelt… top game!

want iedereen die ik ken heeft al afgehaakt van de game…
Een game als Final Fantasy moet vanaf het begin af aan leuk/boeiend zijn!
Niet pas halverwege of bij het einde, want dan is het gewoon geen 60 euro waard.
Vet spel die final fantasy XIII , ja precies je moet gewoon door gaan met het spel en niet afhaken.

Offtopic: na chapter 11 word hij minder liniar . Maar als je bij chapter 11 bent , dan heeft het al te lang geduurt en dan is de leukigheid er al vanaf.
Ontopic: Ik vind het niet zo heel raar. Want het zal me niks verbazen als Microsoft er jes*s veel geld in promotie gestopt heeft omdat FF ook op de Xstofzuiger te verkrijgen is.
