Na een overweldigend succes op Steam sinds de lancering vorige maand op de PC, komt The Park ook naar de PS4 en Xbox One. Uit bijna 1000 reviews haalt de game op Steam een 7.4, wat natuurlijk netjes is. Vanwege deze uiterst positieve reacties die ze hebben ontvangen op de PC-versie, is men dan ook vastberaden om de game naar consoles te brengen, aldus Funcom CEO Rui Casais.
Het ontdekken van een donker, verdacht en uiterst enge locatie is een ervaring die ze console eigenaren niet willen ontnemen. Je gaat ‘The Park’ ontdekken terwijl er een historie aan tragedie en bizarre ongelukken aanwezig is. Het park wordt hier al sinds de opening in 1977 door geplaagd en aan jou de taak om te ontdekken waarom het park zoveel levens claimt.
Een prijs of details over de releasedatum zijn nog niet bekend.

Set in a creepy amusement park hiding a dark and sinister secret, The Park is a one to two hour long first-person psychological horror experience focusing on intense storytelling and exploration instead of combat and action.
Amusement parks are happy places, filled with the joys of childhood and the exhilarating rush of fantastic rides to be dared. That was the vision of eccentric business man Nathaniel Winter when he opened the doors to Atlantic Island Park in 1977.
Unfortunately, the park’s history turned out to be one plagued by tragedy and drama. Its freak accidents, grotesque killings and ghostly hauntings have inspired many a sensational headline, and locals worry the park is far from done claiming innocent lives.
