Bethesda blijft DOOM voorzien van nieuwe updates, zo ook vandaag met een gloednieuwe gratis update die veel content toevoegt aan de game. Zo is er de nieuwe modus Infernal Run, waarin teams dienen te scoren met een bal, een soort Rocket League alleen dan wat gewelddadiger en ietwat meer luguber. De bal is namelijk een losgerukt oog. Ook is er de optie toegevoegd om multiplayer bots te gebruiken in de klassieke modi Team Deathmatch en Deathmatch. Dit kan op de originele multiplayer maps van de game.

De patch verhoogt ook de maximum multiplayer level-cap richting Echolon 11 en level 50. Wie de nieuwe cap weet te behalen, krijgt een gratis Preator Suit, dat wordt dus hard je best doen. Verder is de rapid controller input bug gefixt, zodat de shotgun niet meer ongewoon hoge schade aanricht op tegenspelers.
